Emily Bates, PhD., Is CBD Consumption During Pregnancy Safe? Postnatal Consequences of CBD Exposure During Gestation

Dr. Emily Bates is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She started her career in research as an undergraduate student at the University of Utah studying developmental signaling in fruit flies. Dr. Bates studied neurodegeneration and ion channel function as a PhD student at Harvard Medical School. She conducted research about underlying mechanisms for neurological disorders as a postdoctoral fellow at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine. Dr. Bates started her laboratory at University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2013.
